JonnyPops is seeking a skilled and experienced Packaging Operator Level 1 to join our team.  As a Packaging Operator Level 1, you will be responsible for packaging pops into packages. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities: 

• Understands proper handling of packages, rework, wip, and keeping pops frozen 

• Actively engages in communication and asks questions as needed  

• Can pack pops with reasonable speed and accuracy  

• Knows what do when the line is down 

• Reports all discovered mistakes, regardless of the responsible party 

• Routinely verifies correct packing is being used throughout the day 

• Fill out paperwork completely and accurately 

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment  

• Handles food ingredients with care and proper sanitary techniques 

• Work collaboratively with other members of the production team to meet production goals 

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)   

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. 

Requirements: 

• Knows food safety well, sources of potential harm and proper use of PPE 

• Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, including mixers, blenders, and scales  

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills  

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills  

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment  

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time  

• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed 

Food Safety Responsibilities

• Following GMPs when performing repairs and maintenance activities in production and storage areas, including the proper use of GMP apparel
• Follow guidelines when performing maintenance on food contact surfaces, including using food grade lubricants
• Follow guidelines to tag equipment after performing maintenance, to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00-$24.00 per hour
